BUT God is the strength of my heart (Psalm 73:25-26)

Whom have I in heaven BUT you?

And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and heart may fail

BUT GOD

is the  strength of my heart and my portion forever. 

Psalm 73:25-26 

The only way I survive somedays is to  be reminded that Jesus and Crystal and Poppy are waiting for me in heaven! 

BUT...they who wait for the Lord (Isaiah 40:31)

BUT... They that wait for the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31 

Today I begin my journey and official go to Detroit to start my flying career. I've got my WINGS, They tell me there will eb plenty of long days praise God I will not grow weary!

BUT... those who walk (Proverbs 28:26)

Those who trust in themselves are fools,

BUT those who walk in wisdom are kept safe.

Proverbs 28:26

Sometimes commentary is not necessary.

BUT... I will not always be angry (Isaiah 57)

I was enraged by your willful sins BUT I will not always be angry. Although I have seen your ways I will heal you, guide you, and restore comfort to you.

Are you involved in something today that you know you ought not be?                                                                              Take the first step and admit it. God will take care of the rest. 

 

 

 

 

BUT... aggravation from a fool (Proverbs 27:3)

A stone is heavy and sand, a burden,

BUT aggravation from a fool outweighs them both.

Proverbs 27:3

 It is summer time and as much as we all love the beach and the sand it can be aggravating.
It gets places it never should be. God compares this to a fool, don't get weighed down today by foolish people. 

BUT... when the desire is fulfilled (Proverbs 13:12)

Hope deferred makes the heart sick,
BUT when the desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.

Proverbs 13:12

Have you been hoping or desiring for something for a long time? I know the wait seems unbearable BUT know that if this is part of God’s plan He has a purpose in the waiting and when this desire is fulfilled oh it won’t be just a quick satisfaction BUT a Joy that blossoms for a life time. 

BUT... also for the interest of others (Phillipians 2:3-6)

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, 

BUT... with humility of mind regard one another as more important than yourself, do not look out for you own personal interest, 

BUT... also for the interest of others.

Back to Back BUTS. This is very hard in today's culture where we are taught we have rights, if we don't take care of our selves no one else will. Well I challenge us to go against the grain and put others interest first and see what happens.
