BUT when Christ came as high priest (Hebrews 9:11)Easter

BUT when Christ came as high priest of the good things

that are now already here, He went through the greater and more perfect tabernacle that is not made with human hands,
that is to say, is not a part of this creation.

 He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves;

BUT He entered the Most Holy Place once for all
by His own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.

Hebrews 9:11

BUT as you will (Matthew 26:39)(Easter)

Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me.

Yet not as I will, 

BUT as you will.”

I can not imagine the agony Jesus felt as he talked to His Father. And then how much more painful it had to Be for God to hear His sons' plea and choose to let Him suffer for our sake. This is the defining moment when I realize He is God ! I don't believe any human parent could ever have the strength to go through with this. Thank you God for your sacrifice .

BUT we do see Jesus (Hebrews 2:9)

BUT we do see Jesus,

who was made lower than the angels for a little while,

now crowned with glory and honor because He suffered death,

so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.

Hebrews 2:9

I consider my self a giving person- a people pleaser some would say. BUT I can truthfully say that there is no way I would be willing to suffer the death Jesus suffered. He did it willingly for each and everyone of us that believe.

BUT this man has done nothing wrong. (Luke 23:39-42)

 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at Him:

“Aren’t you the Messiah? Save Yourself and us!”

 BUT the other criminal rebuked him.

“Don’t you fear God,” he said,

“since you are under the same sentence?

We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve.

BUT this man has done nothing wrong.”

 Then he said,

“Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.

Luke 23:39-42

This Verse reminds me often of the 2 voices in my head. I will listen to the voice of truth today.

What voice will you be to others?

BUT God raised Him (Acts 2:24)

BUT God raised Him from the dead,

 freeing Him from the agony of death,

because it was impossible for death to keep its hold on Him.

Acts 2:24

This makes me smile! no matter what you are going through today or how you feel.

God's got your back. Jesus is alive-

The word of God is true-turn  your worries over to Him.

BUT with loud shouts (Luke 23:23)

BUT with loud shouts they insistently demanded that He (Jesus)be crucified, and their shouts prevailed.

As sad as it is to watch what is happening in cities around our country

I can't help but think about the riot that took place where the people demanded Jesus be crucified.

He was innocent- He forgave the very people that shouted to take His life.

We must pray for the people of our nation.

BUT He was pierced (Isaiah 53:5)

BUT He was pierced for our transgressions,

    He was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on Him,
    and by His wounds we are healed.

Isaiah 53:5

On this Good Friday please take time to remember what He did

so you could live with peace and the hope of Eternity.

 

BUT... He said to them (easter) (Mark 16:6-7)

BUT... He said to them,

 “Do not be alarmed. You seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen! He is not here.

See the place where they laid Him.

BUT... go, tell His disciples—and Peter—that He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him, as He said to you.”

2 of the greatest Buts in History!

BUT... Christ was indeed raised from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:20)

BUT the fact is that Christ has been raised from the dead.

He has become the first of a great harvest of those who will be raised to life again

1 Corinthians 15:20

AMEN I love how God's word states the facts!

BUT... by everyword that comes from the mouth of God (Matthew 4:4)

BUT

He answered, “It is written, a Man shall not live by bread alone, 

  BUT

 by every word that comes from the mouth of God. ”

Matthew 4:4

I started a new devotional called the impact of 25 words and my second day this is the verse I received. 2 BUTS ! This verse is from when Satan test Jesus by telling Him to turn rocks into food since He had not eaten in 40 days.
 Jesus responds helps me remember that it is not about my fleshly needs
BUT I can survive on the promises of God.

BUT... He died for our sins (1Peter 3:18)

Christ suffered for our sins once for all time.

 He never sinned,

 BUT…

He died for sinners to bring you safely home to God.

 He suffered physical death,

BUT…

He was raised to life in the Spirit.

1Peter 3:18 (NLT)

Today is a sad day for believers as we think about what Jesus went through on the cross for us.

He left His heavenly Father and His home in heaven for 33 years to walk this year so He could understand and sympathize with us.  He did not sin.

 BUT… He willingly suffered to pay the ultimate price so that we might have fellowship with our Heavenly Father. Don’t miss that today or for the rest of your life here on earth.

Rejoice the resurrection is coming!!!

BUT... He loved us and sent His Son (1 John 4:10)

 This is love:

not that we loved God,

BUT…

that He loved us and sent His Son

as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.

1 John 4:10

Oh if only you could get this concept! There is NOTHING you can do to earn God’s love. If we could be good enough or love enough then Jesus did not need to die on the cross.

 We are human thus we are imperfect. We need God. Accept His love this Easter and be free to love God and live at peace with yourself. 

BUT... He was pierced for our rebellion (Isaiah 53:4-5)

Jesus was innocent
Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;
it was our sorrows that weighed him down.
And we thought His troubles were

 a punishment from God,
a punishment for His own sins!
But…

He was pierced for our rebellion,
crushed for our sins.
He was beaten so we could be whole.
He was whipped so we could be healed.

Isaiah 53:4-5 (NLT)

NO matter what you have done in or with your life> Jesus died to provide a way for you to have a relationship with the Heavenly Father. You don’t need any other human here on earth to intervene for you. You can’t be good enough or bad enough to earn or loss what He had come to earth to do. This Easter week STOP and make the greatest decision of your life Accept the gift of Jesus that God the creator of the universe sent for YOU!

BUT...God showed His great love (Romans 5:8)

But…

God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.

Romans 5:8 (NLT)

BUT... now that HE lives (Romans 6:10)

When He (Christ) died, he died once to break the power of sin.

BUT…

Now that HE lives, He lives for the glory of God.

Romans 6:10  (NLT)

These verses are an anthem tome. When my 22 year old daughter died I found hope in these verses. BUT now she lives, she lives for the Glory of God. Jesus had to die to concur death and when He did He made a way for ANY one who believes in Him to follow in His Path. Crystal is alive in heaven and truly lives for the glory of GOD.
