If something bad is happening around you right now, take a moment and ask your self what role you played in the situation. What can you learn? Is there anything you can change? I believe this is the best way to address any selfish pride that sometimes causes problems. Maybe you need to humble yourself and apologize or maybe you need to just be quite.
Either way you will be wiser for allowing God to handle it.
